Hamas, The peaceful ideology behind the group

Peaceful, nothing could be further from the truth,

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.
There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.

After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.
Hamas Charter of 1988

How can Israel be obligated to try make peace with a group that does not recognise Israel's right to exist.

As JP said in a comment to Walton Pantland that when Hamas recognises Israel, past agreements and denounces violence, Israel will accept the government.

Must Israel make peace with every new government that is elected? how stupid would that be. Are Hamas better palestinians than Fatah or vice versa?

Walton Pantland says Israel is to blame for everything as they did not accept a democratic election which brought hamas to power, that is wrong as Israel has said absolutely nothing of the type of election or about the outcome, all they say is if the hamas government want to be recognised then they must abide by 3 rules which JP has stated.

Why must Israel recognise hamas if they do not recognise Israel? why should Israel respect past agreements if hamas does not want to, but Israel does respect those agreements, eventhough a new government is in power.

This infighting reminds me of the wars between the Xhosa and the Zulus.

Maybe here is a solution 'EU would consider Gaza military role'
yeah right just like the UN is stopping arms to hizbullah.

or maybe a 3 state solution

the problems get more and more for Israel and they are blamed for it.

All I see is a country-Israel- wanting to live in peace and harmony with its neighbours, keeps its nose clean and never attacks only defends, Syria mobilising on the Golan Heights, Hizbullah re-arming in lebanon, palestinians fighting and bringing the fighting closer to the lebanese- Israel border and also the civil war in gaza and probably soon in the west bank.

Israel is caught in the middle and is probably going to get attacked as usual, which will spark a war which everyone will probably blame Israel for starting.
